1602?
Doesn’t really matter though, all 02's look awesome!

I think it’s even smaller, the 1502.

Well, you are the 02 expert here, so there is a large chance you are right.
How’s the 2002 doing by the way? Is it rolling already?

It was a 1502. The first 02 that I saw in almost two years. Too bad that most 02s have been either modded to death in the 80s or are rusted out.

It is indeed.

I agree, and due to this the saveable ones are now quite expensive.
Luckily one orange 2002 tii touring is being slowly brought back to life by jobjoris.

Almost, just the “draagarmen” in front and we’re done. Noticed one of the right wheel bearings up front making noise so that has to come out soon again I’m afraid. But for going back to the shop one more time this doesn’t matter.
And the waterpump finally arrived two weeks ago. Ordered that one at BMW’s in... December 2014.

Now, that’s warehouse efficiency! haha
Did they need to wait for enough orders to do a small production run of the waterpumps, because that sure is a long wait.
Bearings suck, on the car I built with other students last year, we went through something like 6 bearings in the rear, since the pressing was of by a little every time, and it wasn’t clamped in properly by the shaft. There is so much that can go wrong with them, way more then I expected!

Unicorn alert! Orange is my favorite color for most 70s cars.

Could you eventually share a pic of your 02?^

It is terrible. Simple things like tii-brake discs up front can’t be found, a bearing for the inputshaft of a Getrag 245 (5-speed from an E21) is unobtainable, still figuring out stuff. That’s what you get for rebuilding/restomoding a tii. ;-)
They indeed do small production runs. I had a used one laying around but mounting that while all internals were reworked anyway sounds stupid.

Will do. I haven’t updated my Oppo-posts on it for a while, been quite busy moving house and business.
This is it last weekend when we mounted the fron subframe, several suspension parts and steeringcolumn/house.
It is glorious in orange ;-)

Yeah, because Warsteiner is only sold in Warstein as well... What about Bitburger? ;-)

The 1502 had the same motor as the 1600/1602, but had flat top pistons giving it a CR of 8.0:1
